Not quite a Demi Moore! Pregnant Chantelle Houghton wears just a sheet in new shoot to recreate iconic Vanity Fair pose as she talks about her terrifying heart condition
Ever since a pregnant Demi Moore pushed the boundaries by posing naked on the cover of Vanity Fair, celebrities have been trying to recreate the look.Chantelle Houghton is the latest star to attempt the pose – but she cheated a little.
The Celebrity Big Brother contestant stripped for New! as she started her new column for the magazine, but kept on a white sheet.
The 28-year-old’s baby bump could be seen peering out slightly from under the sheet.
Chantelle, who is expecting a daughter with cagefighter Alex Reid, spoke about her terrifying heart condition and her fears she will die during childbirth.It was revealed last month the blonde had an irregular heartbeat.
She has been diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia which has see her heart reach 256 beats per minute when the average is between 60 and 90 bpm.
She is unable to take medication while pregnant and may have to have surgery after the birth.She is considering having a cesarean to take the stress off her heart.
‘About four-and-a-half weeks ago I got up from the sofa and my heart was going wild. It lasted less than a minute. Then the next day it happened again.
‘I was born with it but I’ve only noticed since I’ve been pregnant. The pressure on my heart has made my symptoms rear their head.’I'm absolutely terrified of giving birth… I’m worried something could happen to me or the baby.’
Chantelle also spoke about her feud with the winner of Katie Price’s search for a model show, Amy Willerton.
The 19-year-old had tweeted Alex congratulating him on their baby and said she would like to meet him one day.
He replied simply: ‘Hope so x’.
When Chantelle found out about the message she refused to talk to Alex.
Amy then blamed her reaction on her hormones during a magazine interview.
Chantelle said: ‘Maybe Katie Price was right to get rid of her.
‘She’s 19. She doesn’t have a clue about hormones or pregnancy, so I’ll talk to her in 10 years time and see how she’s getting on!
‘She’s young enough to be Alex’ daughter… It will take more than a 19-year-old girl to break us.’
