In today's cinema, they call Vijay and Ajith as two competing between themselves for success at the box office. Both almost started their career parallely and completed over 50 films at the same time.
Ask about Ajith, Vijay says, ' we have a competition and that is healthy one. But we are good friends. Ajith visits me often and I go to his house frequently as well. Our children go to the same playschool; that’s one more common link we share.'
Says Vijay, 'I have always had the desire to work with big directors but it’s all a question of coming together. Fortunately for me, it has happened now. '
