Venkat Prabhu married Rajalakshmi in 2001. Rajalakshmi is the foster daughter of dance teacher K. J. Sarasa. The couple has a daughter named Shivani.
On a professional front things are beaming bright for the director post the stupendous success of 'Mankatha'. He is currently working on 'Biriyani' with Karthi post which he is touted to join hands with Suriya for a biggie.
