Film actress Nayantara is doing well these days as her last flicks Raja Rani and Arrambam have done pretty good business. For that reason, she has raised her bar and is charging a bomb to work in the next. Well, as per the buzz hovering in town, the actress has been paid a whopping amount of Rs. 1.25 crore in an upcoming flick starring Simbu in the main lead.
Pandiraj is directing this yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy starring Simbu, Nayantara and Soori in the lead roles. To be produced by STR himself, Nayantara is said to be charging 1.25crores and Pandiraj has no issues absolutely and he feels it is not huge considering back to back hits of her latest releases. Simbu's brother, Kuralarasan will be debuting as music director with this untitled STR starrer, which has cinematography by Balasubramaniem.
With this, she has become the first actress to charge such a high amount in a Tamil flick. All the other producers, who had Nayantara in their lists, have to raise the budget now. This will also be the first film of Simbu and Nayantara together after their split. The couple broke up sometime back and were avoiding each other. The 29-year-old has 4 more projects in her kitty i.e. Anamika, Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal, Production No.5 and Radha.
