The city’s bound to get another prison! Surprised? Don’t be! Before you jump to any conclusions, also know that this prison will only be a set that will be erected for the film Purampokku.
According to reliable sources in the film industry, the film’s makers are currently erecting this set which is bound to cost them a fortune.
Sources says, “The team is erecting a prison set that will be worth around Rs Two crore. It is a huge process and a lot of people are currently on the job. Art director Selvakumar, who worked on Madrasapattinam, has been assigned the task of erecting this set. Arya, Vijay Sethupathi, Shaam and Karthika will be a part of this prison sequence, which will be shot over a period of 40 days. Major portions of the film will be shot here and interestingly, the scenes involving the prison will be on a lighter note. The shoot will commence from the middle of April.”
While Karthika is busy learning martial arts for the film, Arya and Shaam are just back from Bangalore after completing a chase sequence for it. The source says, “The action sequence was shot on a large scale, which involved a helicopter too. Arya and Shaam’s chase sequence was shot at the airport.”
