Vadacurry Movie Review

Vadacurry Movie Review exclusively by Cinediary. A romantic comedy thriller releasing on June 19 and marks the 100th Tamil movie of the year.

Vadacurry is the story of a typical Chennai guy Satish [Jai] who faces trouble with his ordinary mobile phone and purchases a korean mobile once he gets a job as a medical representative. But his new phone increases his problems instead of decreasing. One day, Satish finds an iphone in a Tea stall, which brings him luck in the form of girl friend [Swathi] and huge respect from colleagues and friends. There comes a day comes when Satish opts to return back the iphone to its original owner, after he saw an honest yet poor auto driver who handed over 20 sovereign gold to his passenger. In the process, Satish comes across a drug scam in medical industry. What happens next forms the crux of Vada Curry...

Jai is at his usual best. He has performed the role of a confused young boy to perfection. His dance skills and timing are okay.

Swathi has done her parts well. Could have concentrated more on her looks as she looks dull in parts.

Sunny Leone has set the fire on screen. She has got a huge reception from the audiences. Definitely a big plus for the movie.

RJ Balaji's role is good. He brings few chuckles on viewers face whenever he is present on-screen.

Cameos by Venkat Prabhu, Premgi are impressive and others have given relatively adequate performances.

Technical Analysis:

Debutante Saravana Rajan being a Venkat Prabhu assistant resembles his mentors style in almost all the frames of the movie. He get the credits of making a perfect commercial entertainer.

Newbies Mervin Solomon and Vivek Siva have already proved their mettle with Vada Curry audio album. Background scores are no way lesser, takes the movie to a step higher.

Praveen KL's editing is brilliant. With only 2 hrs and 2 mins running time, Vada Curry team has come up with only needed things without wasting time on unnecessary inclusions.

Vada Curry is a clean and complete entertainer with ingredients like love, entertainment, family, friends, action elements and what not. But the movie falls flat at the interval bang and climax fight, which are the to be concentrated parts of the movie.

Coming to the pace, though the new filmmaker has taken ample time to settle down his characters; he included a beautiful love track between lead pair along with Sunny Leone's special number during the first half. Second half travels at a good pace and interesting elements.

On an average, Vada Curry has a good taste with amiss outlook.

Final Verdict: A Winning dish for Jai...
