On December 4 2011, the world of Dev Anand’s fans came to a standstill when the heartbreaking news of his demise broke out. The actor suffered from a major cardiac arrest to which he succumbed to death in London. He was there to undergo the treatment for his ailment. After almost a week of his death, the family of the legendary star announced that the cremation ceremony took place today in London. The cremation ceremony took place at Putney Vale Crematorium in London around noon. Dev Saab’s ashes will be bought back to India.
After the ceremony the family will hold a memorial service at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan in West London. However a major prayer meeting will be held in Mumbai on 15th December.
