Jiiva hopes to make it big in Tollywood

Tamil actor Jiiva is elated with the extraordinary response from Telugu audiences to his dubbed film Rangam, which ran for over 100 days.
He is back this time with Rowthiram and is hoping to get an even greater response from the Telugu audience. Speaking about his other Tamil film being released in Telugu, he says, “Whenever I make a film I keep other prospects in mind like, will the Telugu audience like it or not.
“But, I know that they will surely enjoy this film, because it has action like Ram Gopal Varma films. I am sure people here will enjoy the film more than the Chennai audience.”

About the response to Rangam he says, “I was busy shooting when Rangam was released here, but I got a lot of great reviews from the Telugu audience. I didn`t think that the movie would do so well since it was dubbed, but the response was great. I am very active on social networking sites and a lot ofpeople complimented me there.”
On working in other Telugu films, Jiiva observed: “I have been receiving a lot of offers post Rangam, and life got busier after the film. We are now making it a point to shoot films in Telugu and Tamil. In fact, I was approached by Goutham Menon, but I had date problems.”
Currently preparing for the CCL matches, he says, “I am practicing these days. We won the tournament last time, but I wasn`t that involved because of my films. This time, I am all excited and want to play more matches.”
On Shriya Saran, his co-star in Rowthiram, he says, “Shriya is a great actress and is very popular down south. I thought since she worked with Rajini Sir, she would have a lot of attitude but she is very humble. It was great working with her.”
