Ajith’s Billa 2, Karthi’s Saguni and Dhanush’s 3 that are to see the day light before April were pushed to later dates, as TFPC has recently announced that the big films should be released only on festival days.
Ajith’s Billa 2 which was slated its release in April was postponed to May Day, on the occasion of Thala birthday.
The remaining two films 3 and Saguni, which set their releases in February, delayed till Tamil New Years day in April.
It was before announced by TFPC that big films should release only on Pongal, Tamil New Year, May Day, Independence Day and Diwali.
The Tamil Films Producers Council will decide whether the movie is big or small and then the final release date would be insisted. All this is to encourage small films, so that they see a good run on screens.
