The theatrical rights of 'Saguni', Karthi's upcoming film, is been sold for a big price. S Madhan of Vendhar Movies has purchased the film for a whopping price of Rs. 23 Crore.
The film is said to be a political-comedy drama written exclusively for Karthi.
Pranitha of 'Udhayan' fame is playing the female lead and Santhanam, Radhika, Prakash Raj, Roja and Kota Srinivasa Rao play other vital characters. Anushka has done a cameo appearance.
The film is directed by Shankar Dayal and produced by Antony Xavier of Dream Warrior Pictures. G V Prakash Kumar has scored the music. P G Muthiah has handled the camera and Sreekar Prasad has done the editing.
The film is touted to get released in June this year.
