With amitabh bachchan becoming the face of Gujarat and Shah Rukh Khan that of Paschim Bengal, Maharashtra wanted a brand ambassador. When Madhuri Dixit was approached, she demanded a fee of Rs 9 crore and the Maharashtra government dropped the proposal.
