Santhanam, who is ruling the roost in Tamil cinema, took off to London from Chennai airport this morning.
The ace comedian is to take part in the shoot of A L Vijay directed ‘Thaandavam’ that is going to happen in the London city. Santhanam plays an illegal immigrant who takes up the job of a London Taxi driver. The shoot for him is scheduled for 20 days and after the completion of the shoot the actor will return to Chennai.
Santhanam had applied for the international driving license and obtained it just before he left for London. He needed it to drive taxi on the roads of London.
Earlier in the day, when Santhanam arrived at the Chennai airport he was mobbed by a big crowd, some asked for autograph, some wanted to take snaps with him and some desired to just exchange words! The actor also obliged his fans with a smiling face in spite of he getting delayed for the flight.
‘Thaandavam’ is the third film that he is working with director Vijay, after ‘Kreedam’ and ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, and with ‘Thaandavam’ the actor pairs with Vikram and Anushka again! Amy Jackson is playing a crucial role and G V Prakash Kumar scores the music for the film.
