This Tollywood actor-producer did manage to turn many heads when she was in the city recently for the 60th birthday celebrations of namma Rebel Star Ambareesh.
And throughout the event Lakshmi Manchu was seen chatting animatedly with none other than Superstar Rajinikanth. Needless to say, it was a picture perfect moment for the lens men.
“Rajini uncle, my dad (Telugu actor Mohan Babu) and I came together for the event and we left together. You won’t believe when my dad, Rajini uncle and Ambi uncle get together, they really let their hair down, so much so that we youngsters would look old in front of them,” says Lakshmi.
So what was she so enthusiastically discussing with the Superstar? “Rajini uncle was looking fantastic and vibrant and it was a great pleasure to be with him. He was talking about his film Kochadaiyaan and sounded quite excited. He was also impressed with the title of one of my upcoming Tamil films, Varuvan Thalaivan and we were talking about it,” says the actor.
Talking about her association with the Rebel Star, Lakshmi says, “Ambi uncle is very close to our family and I had to be there for the event. The show was flawless and one of the best organized I have ever witnessed. It was amazing to see the entire Sandalwood fraternity dancing for one actor.”
