A five star hotel set at a cost of Rs 1. 5 Crores has been erected for the film Settai. The shooting has taken place in these sets.
Settai is the remake of the super hit Hindi film Delhi Belly. Arya, Premgi, Santhanam, Anjali and Hansika are starring in this film.
The film which is being produced by UTV Motion Pictures is directed by R Kannan. P G Muthiah is handling the camera while Taman is composing the music.
Na Muthukumar, Thamarai, Yuga Bharathi and Karky are penning the lyrics. John Mahendran has penned the dialogues.
Director Kannan while speaking about this film said, "The story of this film is about the interesting incidents that happen in a life of a journalist. If a person has determination and insistent temperament he can achieve anything that he aims. This film narrates this vision. We have given importance to comedy.
In Hindi, there were double meaning dialogues. We have only taken the crux from this film and have changed the script to suit the Tamil audience. Arya is donning the role of a journalist while Premgi dons the role of a cartoonist. Santhanam dons the role of a photographer.
Anjali dons the role of an English paper reporter while Hansika dons the role of an air hostess. Nasar is donning an important role. We have erected a five star room set at a cost of Rs 1.5 Crores at Binny Mills in which sequences pertaining to Arya, Premgi and Santhanam is being shot.
50% shooting of this film has been completed. The next schedule of this film is to take place in Mumbai."
