Vignesh Shivan of Podaa Podi fame will be directing his next film with Gautham Karthik in the lead. The film will be produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon under his banner Photon Kathas.
However, the project is said to be in the early stages of discussion and more details are expected to be out very soon. Gautham who seems to be taking slow in his direction side, is busy with a few projects at hand under his production banner. He will also be producing Jai, Santhanam, VTV Ganesh starrer Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum.
His last release Thanga Meengal, directed by Ram will been screened at the Indian Panorama section of International Film Festival of India to be held at Goa. According to earlier reports the movie was supposed to have either Samantha or a new face to play the female lead.
Anirudh Ravichander is likely to compose the film’s music. Gautham who has dropped his project with Suriya currently ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ which has taken too long to take off, might be working with Vikram as his next directorial venture in 2014. Meanwhile Gautham Karthik too is busy with Sippai, Yennamo Yedho and Vai Raja Vai. He is also said to have signed on his next film with director Kala Prabhu of Sakkarakatti fame.
