Prabhu Solomon starts with ‘Kayal’ climax shoot for VFX work!

The path breaking commercial director Prabhu Solomon, has shot the climax of his new film Kayal first! The film is a love story set in a fishing village with Tsunami as the backdrop. Kayal has newcomers Chandran, Anandhi and Vincent in the lead. Normally he shoots climax last, but since there is a lot CGI work involved the director shot it first. It was shot in a sprawling 25 acres near the sea in Ponneri.

"There are about 15-20 minutes of visual effects-facilitated scenes in the film, especially towards the climax. I have already shot them because I felt I may run out of time if I do it in the end, closer to the release of the film. I didn't want to do a shoddy job and, therefore, already worked on it with visual effects designers," Prabhu told IANS. "In essence, we shot the climax first and now are busy working on the rest of the film.

Most filmmakers shell out very less or limited time for VFX and that's why the output is not outstanding when we see it on the big screen," he added. Remember Prabhu had a tough time when he had used CGI to show a fight between two elephants for his Kumki.

The CGI work was done at the last minute and it turned out to be shabby and the release was delayed. Now Prabhu Solomon and his team are shooting the love portions in Kanyakumari, Nagercovil seaside villages. Earlier they had shot two songs in picturesque locations of Ladakh , Leh, Cherapunji and Rajasthan. D Imman has already composed tunes for all the seven songs in the film.
