He had already directed Ajith’s ‘Kireedam’ and ‘Poi Solla Poram’ and his romantic-period drama ‘Madrasapattinam’ shot him to fame overnight. And, he strengthened his position as one of the top Tamil directors with his next hit film Vikram starrer ‘Deiva Thirumagal’.
After the success of ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, now the director is all set to direct his next, again with Vikram! Anushka plays the leading lady and ‘Madrasapattinam’ fame British beauty Amy Jackson playing the girl friend of Vikram in the film.
The latest is that the director, who is the son of producer A L Azhagappan and close associate of director Priyadharashan, is planning to direct actor Vijay in a film that will start in the second half of next year after Vijay completes Gautham Menon’s ‘Yohan: Atthyayam Ondru’. It is reported that for the proposed Vijay starring film the director is being paid a big sum as salary to the tune of 3 Crores paid by the production house UTV Motion Pictures. It may be mentioned that the A L Vijay is being rumoured with Amala Paul of having a relationship that both are being seen cozying up with each other.
