‘Saguni’ is Karthi’s next upcoming film that the shoot is progressing in a fast pace. The actor is playing a politician in the film.
“’Saguni’ is a political satire and Karthi’s character is that of a man who transforms himself into a good politician as the film progresses towards the end. Yes, the actor’s character has some shades of the 2G Spectrum notorious Nira Radia’s political lobbying job but Karthi’s character does that lobbying job for the good of the people. The character and the film are etched with a positive line and nowhere will you see the propagation of any bad act in the film”, says Shankar Dayal, who is debuting as director with this ‘Saguni’.
‘Saguni’ has ‘Udhayan’ fame Pranitha in the female lead. After finishing ‘Saguni’ Karthi will start his next with director Suraaj, who directed Dhanush’s ‘Padikaathavan’ and ‘Maapillai’. Suraaj’s film would feature Anushka and Nikita as female leads.
