This film which was released for Pongal has turned out to be a super duper hit. This film has been produced by Tirupathi Brothers in association with UTV Motion Pictures. Producer Ronnie Screwvala of UTV has liked this film very much.
He not only appreciated Lingusamy but also wants this film to be remade in Hindi. Lingusamy will also be directing this Hindi remake. It is understood that Bollywood heroes Salman and Ranbir will act in this film. Moreover there is also news that Sameera Reddy who had acted in the Tamil version will also act in the Hindi version.
When asked Sameera Reddy about this, she said, “I am very eager to act in the Hindi remake of Vettai. I will be very happy if I get the role which I had donned in Vettai.”
