Ponnamal Aachi, wife of legendary lyricist Kannadasan passes away in Chenani on Wednesday. She was 79. She died due to prolonged illness.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters.
Her grandson Aadhav is making his debut as actor with Ponmalai Pozhuthu, which is slated for release very soon.
Kannadasan was a peerless lyricist who wrote songs for almost all MGR, Sivaji and Gemini Ganesan films.
