One of the most successful stars celebrates his birthday today (May 25). Today as he turns 35 years old. He is the younger son of yesteryear hero Sivakumar and younger brother of another top actor Suriya!
But for Karthi Sivakumar, it's going to be work as usual at the shoot of Alex Pandian at Chalakuddy with co-star Anushka. However, the Karthi Fans Club secretary R Veeramani discloses that his association has big plans to celebrate the star's birthday with various philanthropic activities.
Says he, "The activities will be held on May 25th and May 27th even though Karthi is away at shoot. On Friday the fans have organized a blood donation camp at Pulianthope by about 100 people while another group will donate biriyani and churidar sets to girls at an orphanage on Walltax Road. On Sunday another blood donation camp is being organized at a maternity hospital in North Madras by 150 people."
The stress of the fans seems to be on inculcating a sense of sportsmanship amongst the youth in keeping with the views of Karthi and so a football tournament and a Kabaddi match have been organized in North Madras for youngsters.
Meanwhile, according to our sources, a cake cutting for Karthi and a hearty dinner is being arranged for the cast and crew, after pack up on Friday to celebrate Karthi's big day, his first after marriage.
He did his schooling and Engineering graduation in Chennai and went to USA for his post graduation studies. As he was always interested and wanted to enter films he did his film studies during his stay In US.
On his return to India he joined director Mani Ratnam and worked as assistant director in his films. He was later selected to do the protagonist role in Ameer's 'Paruthiveeran' that brought him critical acclaim for his stunning performance.
The films – ' Aayirathil Oruvan', 'Paiyaa', 'Naan Mahaan Alla' and 'Siruthai' that followed 'Paruthiveeran' were also super hits for Karthi.
Karthi married a Chennai girl called Ranjani last year. We wish a very happy birthday to Karthi!
