‘Maatraan’ team faces the heat in India-Pakistan border

You can take the headline in its literal meaning, as the cast and crew of Suriya’s forthcoming film ‘Maatraan’ suffered from heat waves when they were shooting near the India-Pakistan border recently.

“Some important portions of the movie were recently shot in Bhuj near the international border. No special permission was required to hold the shooting there since it is a safe zone. However, the unit suffered from the scorching summer heat,” sources say.

“Director K V Anand, Suriya and others had a tough time under the sun. But the thorough professionals took up the challenge and completed the task, that too well ahead than planned,” they add.
Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram of AGS Entertainment, ‘Maatraan’ is almost complete, but for one song. The film to be released by Eros International will hit the screens on August 15, that is, Independence Day.

Suriya, KV Anand and the rest of Maatran team was at Bhuj, the India-Pakistan border shooting for the film. Since it is a safe zone, it was easy for KV Anand to get the permission for the shoot at the location. During the shoot they even faced a heavy heat storm, say reports. But still the director, who is known for his professionalism, completed his shooting well ahead of the planned time.

Presently the crew is on a hunt for a location for the last remaining song. Though the search is still on, Alaska is being considered by the makers.
