It is no more news that Mani Ratnam is in search of a heroine for his forthcoming movie Kadal, as Samantha has opted out of the film due to date issues. Just heard Thulasi, the youngest daughter of Radha and sister of Karthika has been finalized as the female lead for Kadal.
Remember, earlier it was Thulasi who is touted to be playing the lead lady for Gautham, son of Karthik somehow Samantha has stepped in finally. Now the latest is Thulasi, who is studying 9th class has jetted to Chennai along with her parents and met Mani Ratnam. The director is to conduct a workshop for the debutant actress, as she is new to face camera.
Close sources from Kadal team says, 15-year old Thulasi perfectly suits into the role of lady lead in Kadal. And the birdie also expects to bring back the casting coup of Kathik and Radha, who has played the lead pair in Bharathiraja directed Alaigal Oyivathillai 30 years back.
