Looks like director Shankar Dayal’s forthcoming film with Saguni, starring Karthi in the lead, is going to be a rib-tickling entertainer.
Despite touted to be a political satire, the producers of the film vouch that it will keep the audience in split.
K E Gnanavelraja of Studio Green, who is jointly producing the film with Dream Warrior Pictures, says, “The film was recently screened to the censor board members, and everyone were very appreciative. They even told us how the film has touched upon some issues without offending anyone.”
Shankar Dayal, who’s working on getting the Telugu version of the film censored, says, “The film is a political satire, but has a lot of commercial elements packed in it. The film does have references to politics… international politics.”
Gnanavelraja adds, “Saguni is a film that can be watched by everyone, including kids. Also, Karthi and Santhanam have taken their ‘chemistry’ to another level altogether!”He adds that the locations in which the film was shot, especially Vizag and Poland, will be one of the highlights.
