Salman Khan to co-produce ‘Chillar Party’ sequel

The movie that won a National Award for Best Children’s Film is all set for its sequel, but without director Vikas Bahl Chillar Party, a movie that revolved around pre-teen kids and a dog was co-directed by Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari and was backed by Salman Khan Being Human Productions.
Post that we heard that the makers were working on a script for the sequel. But this was delayed ‘coz of reasons involving the cast. Apparently the kids who had featured in the movie had outgrown the script and the makers had to launch a hunt for a new group of youngsters. Another rumour suggested that UTV was focusing on other projects, which had resulted in the delay.
And thanks to all this, Bahl decided to move on and become involved with the making of his new movie, Queen, reportedly starring Kangna Ranaut.
Now the buzz is that the makers have decided to go ahead with the sequel of CP, which will again be co-produced by Salman. “It’s very close to Salman’s heart,” chirps a birdy. But alas! director Vikas Bahl is finding it real hard to accommodate the dates of the children’s movie with those of Queen. And so he has decided to opt out.
While not much is being said about the new cast, some time ago birdies had chirped that Bhidu the dog will again make an appearance in the sequel. But the dog belongs to Vikas Bahl. Now if the director is not involved with the sequel, will he lend his dog to star in it? Time to wait and watch!
