Rummy opened to packed houses due to the presence of Vijay Sethupathi, the actor with the Midas Touch, in the star cast. However, the film received mixed response from the audiences owing to which 15 minutes of its run time was cut short.

On the first day at the Chennai box office, Rummy has managed to collect 37.40 lakhs, state trade sources. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Rummy also stars Inigo Prabhakaran as the male lead.
Gayathrie and Ishwarya play the female leads in this movie, which has been directed by K Balakrishnan. Inga Enna Solludhu, directed by Vincent Selva, has VTV Ganesh and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles with Simbu and Andrea appearing in cameo roles. This is enough to up the expectation levels for this film. Released on January 30th, 2014, Inga Enna Solludhu grossed 90 lakhs in Chennai city. The collections over the past four days in Tamil Nadu for this movie has been 1.58 crores.
