Anil Kapoor has maintained a slow though steady pace for most part of his career while maintaining the stance of quality over quantity.
Except for a phase in the middle of his career (towards late 80s and early 90s) when he was doing multiple films since he wanted to get his family out of financial crises, he has been generally quite choosy in his 33 years of film career.
Though after SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, he could have gone ahead and signed dozens of films, he took it easy and bagged just a handful of films. Now it appears that daughter Sonam too is pretty much following his footsteps.
Informs a family friend, “Instead of getting jittery and signing films in a flurry to have a so-called ‘safe future’, she is happy to wait and choose.”
No wonder, the only film of hers which she would be starting soon is Aanand L Rai’s RAANJHANAA with Dhanush. In addition, she has also given a nod of approval for her special appearance in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG with Farhan Akhtar.
On the other hand her contemporaries like Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma have three to five films in different stages of production.
